This is baseless and has no value as one can’t sell a thing he doesn’t possess and likewise, one can’t divorce someone he is not married to

Once he marries, he can divorce after the marriage but not before it. 

QUESTION: In Hanafi madhab, when a man says before marriage,”If I marry so and so, she is divorced or any women I marry, is divorced.” Divorce takes place after marriage automatically. According to Quran, Sunnah and Salaf, is this view correct? Although I am a Hanafi, this doesn’t seem right to me.
