ANSWER:

No matter what the reasons are, he is a murderer and must be killed for his crime. 

If she committed adultery, this is a major sin and she will be held accountable for it. 

He can leave her and divorce her and move on with his life. Killing her makes him a criminal and as bad as she is. However, her sins would be forgiven because of his transgression and crime while he would end up in hell.

QUESTION: If a person finds out that his wife cheated on him or vice versa and out of rage, attempts to kill her or kills her, then will that person be sinful? If yes, then how much sinful will he be? And what if the husband does this to his wife after he sees that he can’t file any charge against her as in some Muslim countries, adultery isn’t a crime ?
