ANSWER:

If he is a Muslim and does the minimum accepted for a Muslim which no one can compromise such as praying 5 times a day ON TIME, avoiding minor and major sins publicly and in secret and has good moral conduct, then such a person can be married to and hope for the best. Otherwise, it is best to stay unmarried than to marry a person who is not a real Muslim.

QUESTION: I seek advice. Only one man proposed. He has good character, but I know more about religion and he cannot read Quran, though I always wanted a husband to lead me. He is poor, while I am wealthy. My mother is against him. I am very insecure and fear no one else will ever marry me, so I cling to this chance.
