QUESTION: I lost my 23 years old son almost 3 years ago, his dad shoot him. Hasbi Allah w na3mil wakeel. I got all his belongings from the officers 9 months later, they’re still as is from the scene in the box they gave me. I’m being told it’s haram to keep them as is (full of his blood) and that I should wash them? I haven’t touched his bedroom everything is still the exact same. Please advise me.JAK

ANSWER:

May Allah have mercy on him.

What people told you is baseless. You can keep his things as they are, without washing it or changing anything.

I believe i need to bring to your attention that whatever he had left behind, you must distribute it between his heirs as this is their right in Islam unless they tell you they do not need it.
