ANSWER:

A woman who is suffering from istihadah, is not on her menses but rather this is her prolonged bleeding that she must identify when her menses is and performs ghusul after deciding her purity. After that, when the bleeding which is not her menses continues, it is best to take ghusul for every prayer if one can do that.

If there is hardship, one can combine prayers by delaying thuhur to the last moment and praying asr at the beginning of its time and likewise with maghreb and isha where she performs 3 ghusuls a day.

If this is also difficult for her, she is not obliged to perform ghusul at all until she sees her purity after her menses.

QUESTION: I have prolong bleeding (istihadah). So, do I have to have a bath everyday or can I have a bath every 2 days to pray? Also if I still have my wudu from my last salaah, can I pray or do I have to do wudu for every salaah? Will this be sufficient? Do I have to insert cotton wool (tampon) for when I pray, or can I wear a sanitary pad while praying for my salaah to be accepted?
