It’s not permissible to give zakat ul fitr on behalf of deceased people & it’s an innovation.

QUESTION: Giving zakal ul fitr in the name of our deceased father/mother/Grandparents for them to get the blessings and reward out of it, is it permissible or is it an innovation?
