I am a Muslim who try to follow the Quran and Sunnah according to the understanding of the favorite 3 generations (salaf). I consider myself to be part of the sect of our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam and his companions

QUESTION: Dear Shaykh, it appears to me that this brand of Islam (Salafism) that you vehemently promote is a counter-productive approach to the propagation and education of our faith. It seems to go against hundreds of years of scholarly tradition, and is not necessarily the way of the Salaf as is claimed. What do you say to this oppositional voice against Salafism/ Wahhabism?
