ANSWER:

This is an issue of dispute and the most authentic opinion is that Allah has a shade as in the hadeeth of the 7 in the shade of Allah. This shade is like all other attributes of Allah, that befits Him and is nothing like other creatures’ attributes. 

The hadeeth states that Allah has a shadow and some said that this is referring to the shade of Allah’s throne. 

QUESTION: Did sheikh Ibn Baz issue a fatwaa stating Allah has a Shadow and it is one of his attributes? And Sheikh does this view have consensus and how do we understand this and what exactly should our belief in this matter be?
