Duaa is a form of worship. Even if it is not accepted, one must continue to urge Allah and beg Him. Your analogy is like that of those whose prayers are not accepted for 40 days either due to consuming intoxicants or going to soothsayers and they stop praying for 40 days!

QUESTION: A man haram income and food, so we know his dua isn’t accepted. So should he stop making dua until he is able to earn halal and eat halal? I mean if the dua won’t be accepted die to haram income and food, then what is the point? Unless he can make dua for Allaah to take him out of haram income and that specific dua will be accepted??? Or any other exception??
