This is not a hadeeth by the prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam

This is a saying by a companion. Therefore, it is not binding for us.

QUESTION: نَوْمُ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ خُرْقٌ، وَأَوْسَطُهُ خُلْقٌ، وَآخِرُهُ حُمْقٌ , in this hadith does sleep in the beginning of day mean after fajr or after magrib, my friend asked me this question assuming that Islamic day starts after magrib (and we both are layman) and we read this hadith in english on sunnah.com(adab al mufrad 1242),please help
