ANSWER:

Giving zakah money for this purpose is not permissible. Buying or building a house is not something poor and needy people do!

You should give your zakah money on time to the poor and needy Muslims in cash in hand.

 

My aunty and her husband who are poor want help financially to make them a house. The problem is because these things take time to sort out such as purchasing land and papers work, I want to know although my zakah is due 17th of Ramadan, can I give them my zakah now but they hold on to my money until everything gets sort which may take several months, will that be ok?
