ANSWER:

You must return it as it is and not more or less.

If someone had stolen Rs. 1500 in 2010, and want to return it to it’s owner in 2024, will he return Rs. 1500 or more as Pakistan currency has lost ALOT of value. Same goes for materialistic things, if things stolen were worth of Rs. 1000 in 2010 then we will return Rs. 1000 or the amount that costs us to buy those things in 2024?
