I have researched more to find out whether this is true or not and have discovered that it has appeared on a number of other websites including news24.com, islamic forum, post gazette and a number of other sites confirming this. What do I do, Shaykh? Should I attend this gathering provided that I don’t mix with the men to show my contempt on the actions of the Morroccan Government? My parents might now allow me to go, because they might have some sort of fear. What are the ordinary Muslims suppose to do in this situation?

I don’t believe that this is true at all. Muslims in Morocco are strong and fearless and wouldn’t agree to such a thing. Both ways, you shouldn’t attend such a gathering as this is not of the characteristics of Muslim women.

I have just read the following: “BREAKING NEWS – SHOCKING!!! The Moroccan Government organised an art exhibition in which an image explicitly showed a naked man with verses from the holy Quran tattooed on his private part and he is lying in the arms of a woman in full hijab. It is a must for every muslim to attend the protest outside the Moroccan embassy on sunday the 25th september from 2pm till 4pm. Address: 49 Queen’s Gate Garden, London, SW7 5NE train: Gloucester road.
