ANSWER: No problem, providing these are unisex clothes.

I saw an answer that women aren’t allowed to post their pictures online, but men can. If men post their pictures online the women might stare or look at it. Does women have to lower their gaze too, why are men allowed to post online and women aren’t allowed though?

ANSWER: This is why Allah ordered women to wear the hijab while men are not ordered to do so because they are not fitna as women.

Where I’m from, some scholars say hair extensions are allowed so long as it’s not human hair or looks like your hair e.g horse hair so things like wool,Brazilian wool or thread are allowed.Some say it is allowed so long as it doesn’t exceed your natural hair length and others say It’s completely prohibited. A lot of us braid as protective styling. Please clarify.

ANSWER: This is absolutely baseless and fabricated. No problem in women using razors for this purpose.

My question is Is underneath part of the chin part of awrah. Can I show my underneath part of the chin when wearing hijab When I am wearing hijab wheather if I am praying or just outside in front of non mehrams my hijab slips and people can see my underneath part of the chin. It doesn’t matter how tightly I wear hijab it still happens.

ANSWER: Yes it is awrah as it is not part of your chin, it is part of the neck.

My therapist has asked me to wear colorful hijabs and abayas as she says that it is proved from studies that colorful clothes will help uplift mood and make one feel happy and joyful and she says that it will help me. But wont that make me look attractive and that defies the purpose of covering myself. So im not sure what i should do?

ANSWER: You must not listen to her as this indeed defies the purpose of hijab. You can wear all the colorful and attractive clothes in front of your mahrams and in front of other women. You should change your therapist and choose a practicing Muslimah.

Is it enough that the length of khimar which is head covering cloth wearing on main loose dress,apron should be such that, it will cover head,neck,chest,shoulder, arm upto elbow? If forearms are not under khimar is it ok? Please note that forearms are already covered by sleeves of main loose dress & other necessary body parts are covered by main loose dress.

ANSWER: This is is sufficient for the upper part, the jilbab must be very loose, thick abaya as this ensures covering the whole body leaving no room for error.

In my country there is this belief that when a women uncovers her hair (she is at home with her mehrams) the angels run away and such a women should not enter kitchen as she will remove the barakah in the kitchen. What is the ruling on this?
