ANSWER: If it is below your ankles, you must fold it for prayer and also when outside the prayer as well in order to avoid being cursed by Allah

QUESTION: I go to the Baber every 2 weeks and everytime the barber shaves the little hair under my side burns. It is not alot and it’s a little light but still has somewhat a dark color. Is it haram to shave it at 13 years old? Because I’m not sure when exactly the beard starts growing. If it’s fine at my age what age is it best to leave it

ANSWER: Sideburns are part of the beard and you must not touch them let alone shave them especially if you are an adult and had reached the age of puberty

QUESTION: Wearing a tight sports leggings (men) up to the ankle and a loose fitting shorts on top of it that covers up to half of the thighs permissible during sports activities such as cycling etc. (in public)

ANSWER: It’s not permissible to wear shorts that expose the awrah and the leggings won’t make it halal. It’s not permissible if their awrah is exposed as tights would reveal the shape of the thighs as if they are not wearing anything!

ANSWER: Agreeing with him to avoid confrontation is not sinful. Obeying him and praying with your trousers below the ankle is sinful. You are also sinful for having them below the ankle even if you are not praying.

QUESTION: For men, covering his awrah (i.e from navel to the knees) is madatory if he is at home or in private space with his parents? Can he make Dua’a and do dhikr in that state?

ANSWER: No problem in doing duaa while his awrah is covered like this. He must conceal his awrah from his parents, siblings and children. Only his wife can see that.

QUESTION: The kandura/thobe i wear for prayer is above my ankle when im standing but ends up covering my ankle when i go in sujood and I have heard we are not allowed to fold or pull up clothes when praying. what is the ruling on this, please advice.

ANSWER: No problem in this. What counts is if it is above your ankle when standing up
