Your zakat date for the gold remains the same as your cash zakat date as it was bought with that cash.

QUESTION: Can I intentionally buy gold in the month of Ramadan so that I can give its zakat during Ramadan?There r many poor & needy people in my family, & I would like to help them fulfill their needs during Ramadan & have some money for Eid. Without zakat money,may be I would not have enough money to give them that much support.
