QUESTION: Is complaining to your parents about a classmate or roommate who is annoying, mistreating, or wronging you considered backbiting? If so, are Muslims only allowed to vent or complain directly to Allah, or are there circumstances where speaking to others about someone’s behaviour is permissible?
