QUESTION: Some Muslim brothers work in construction or other manual labor jobs. When it is time for prayer, they go directly to the mosque wearing their work clothes, which may be very dusty, dirty, or have a strong odor from work. Since we stand shoulder to shoulder during congregational prayer, some people nearby may become distracted or uncomfortable. What is the Islamic ruling in this situation?
