ANSWER:

This is not the same as asking Allah for results and a quick response is not a problem unless one feels despair and abandons making duaa.

QUESTION: In the ḥadīth, the Prophet ﷺ said du‘ā’ is answered unless one is impatient and says: “I made du‘ā’ but was not answered.” I once said by mistake: “O Allah, when will You give me?” Is this the same as what is mentioned in the ḥadīth, making my du‘ā’ unacceptable?
