Your father is your wali (guardian) who would give you away in marriage and he can’t be a witness and women can’t be witnesses in nikah

You must choose any two muslim males as witnesses 

QUESTION: I live in Belgium and when we get married we have to choose witnesses. Am I allowed to choose my mother and father as witnesses?
