The validity of your shahadah has nothing to do with the one who taught it to you, even if he was a Kafir!

It is related to your own conviction and belief 

QUESTION: I’m worried about my standing in Islam. i took my Shahada a few years ago from my Muslim friend but she wasn’t practicing as she should have been yet i have since that day. i live a halal lifestyle but recently as i have gone deeper in my practices i fear my Shahada was invalid because she wasn’t living a life Allah would be pleased with at the time. tell me, is my oath invalid?
