You are ordered to do whatever Allah orders you to do! When you pray 5 times a day, who told you that all of your prayers are accepted? Without these prayers being offered in the correct manner with the right concentrations and submissiveness, you won’t benefit from it that much and it won’t keep you away from sins as the millions of Muslims who pray out of habit and culture don’t succeed in refraining from sins. 

QUESTION: In the quran it says that salah protects from sins. So if I pray 5 times a day then Allah will protect me from all sins. Then what’s the point of fasting to suppress the sexual desire if salah can already protect from sins?
