Someone told me that sunnah is to break the black magic as done by the prophet after revelation of surah Al- Falaq and An-Nass where he went and took out the buried doll and so on. Is that correct and how one can break it these days?

If one found the material where the black magic was made, one must destroy
it by burning it or by dissolving it entirely so nothing remains of its
traces.

But usually, this is not possible as such material is carefully hidden.
Therefore, the Sunnah becomes that one tries to protect himself through the
Athkar.

I found a dead hoopoe’s head and I hanged it on my chandelier but my friends say that it is haram to touch it or even keep it.What do you say ?
