ANSWER:

No problem in praising your wife’s cooking or praising your children for the good they do. The praising that is not permissible is the one related to religion and piety.

QUESTION: Sheikh, ive seen some hadith where prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said not to praise anyone infront of them. So on which situation we should do it? Like if my spouse cooks for me or my mom i should praise their cooking and we should praise kids for the good they do.
