QUESTION: My father-in-law – wife’s father and husband of my maternal aunt, needed an urgent medical surgery which he couldn’t afford due to his financial condition. He has a home where he lives but no sellable property or savings. He lives on monthly pension money from Govt. job. Alhamdulillah, I was able to pay his medical treatment cost. Can I count this as Advance Zakat for my next Zakat year?
