ANSWER:

This is from the sunnah to perform 2 rakah prayer between adhan and iqamah except for fajr.

QUESTION: Me and my family were recently at the Prophet’s Mosque, and I noticed that almost all of the people who pray there, pray 2 rakats sunnah after adhan of every prayer (they already performed tahiyyatul masjid as I’ve seen), is this permissible? This is the same case here in Masjid Al haram in Makkah.
