Zakat must be given on its due date and must not be delayed for this long. You can take a couple of days extra but not months like this.

QUESTION: Last year I gave on the zakat deadline my zakat to my mother and aunt to distribute around in my hometown to the poor. They did this but they distribute partly every few months. Is this allowed or do I need to give my zakat to charities to do this?
