ANSWER:

It is not permissible for the follower to do so. They should listen to the imam without distracting others next to them and must put the right hand over the left and to look at the spot of prostration. 

QUESTION: Is it permissible to open the Qur’an and listen to the recitation during Taraweeh while looking at it?
