ANSWER:

Standing up while drinking zamzam was done by the prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam but not as a sunnah for it. Facing the qibla is when one wants to make duaa. 

QUESTION: Is it a sunnah to drink zamzam water standing while facing the qiblah?
