Your masjid is probably following the hanafi school of thought which delays fajr athan. You must pray Tahajjud before the Fajr time has entered which is 4:30am.

QUESTION: In our area fajr Azan is being called at 5:00am and google time for Azan is 4:30am. I usually wake up for tahajjud Alhumdolillah but I’m confused what should I do during this time ? Should I perform namaz after 4:30 or wait for the azan ?
