It’s totally prohibited to fast on the day of eid, so how can you fast the next day of 9 Dhul-Hijah?!

However, you can fast the day of Arafat according to your country and also any day that precedes it (if you wish) as it is part of the blessed 10 days of thul hijjah

QUESTION: In my country, people say that we should fast on the previous or the next day also along with the fasting of arafah because in Saudi Arabia arafah is one day earlier and also we can’t keep only one voluntary fast. What to do?
