He must keep renewing his intention for the sake of Allah otherwise his charity is not accepted, on the contrary he will be sinful for riya!

QUESTION: If one begins charity purely for Allah but later grows attached due to the honor it brings—so much that leaving it (if he is said to do so) feels hard mainly because of that praise—does this spoil the intention? Should he quit the deed or fix the intention? Is consciously correcting intention accepted in Islam, or only those that begin instinctively for Allah’s sake?
