ANSWER:

Zakat is what Allah obligated upon those who have wealth that exceed the threshold. This has nothing to do with how much taxes you are paying. 

QUESTION: I want to know about paying zakat, especially the 2.5% part to help those in need. I’m already paying over 15% in taxes to the government, plus some indirect taxes that helps people of county. Could you guide me on this?
