ANSWER:

Oaths that must be expiated are oaths over things in the future such as wallahi I will do this or I won’t do that.

Oaths over things in the past don’t require expiation. If a person lied on purpose, this is sinful and known as “dipping” oath that dips the person in hell. 

QUESTION: I said “wallahi this person was the one who burnt the plastic bowl” and then another person said no it was this one, the one I claimed also agreed with her and it felt more accurate to me but I still have doubt, should I fast 3 days as an expiation?
