ANSWER:

You can gift your daughters equally if you want, however that gold would belong to them in reality and you will not be it’s owner. They must possess it and have full control over it even if they want to sell it! Otherwise you are trying to trick Allah to avoid paying zakat

QUESTION: Sheikh. I have cash that is Alhamdulillah above the Nisab. I also have 25 grams of gold (which is below the Nisab). Must I combine the dollar value of both and pay Zakat for everything or only pay Zakat on the cash I have? Basically, do we pay Zakat on the total value of all our Zakatable assets or do we pay Zakat on only assets above the Nisab?
