QUESTION: Can zakat be given as goods/ ration kits instead of cash? I heard from my friend that it is not permissible for us to make decisions on behalf of poor and needy on zakat cash and it should be given in cash form only. Is it true, Please advise.

QUESTION: Some moulanas in pakistan claim that if someone have 20g Gold and other Some Silver (non Gold) and Some Money and one year passed on it. So there will be collectively Zakat on it. What if some one have 84g Gold and 84g (Silver) and some Money, it it necessary to give zakat on it? Please Guide. Thank you
