ANSWER:

The hadith refers to the presence of gray hair itself as a sign of aging in Islam that will be نور (light) on the Day of Judgment.

Dyeing your hair does not remove the reward, because the gray hair still existed and came as a result of your life and deeds—you’re only covering it, not undoing it.

QUESTION: A hadith says gray hair will be a light on the Day of Resurrection. Then If I dye my hair because of my gray hair (I’m 24 y.o), is there still will be a light for me? or I become irrelevant to the hadith.
