The Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam said that the best month to fast after Ramadan is the month of Moharram.

Fasting only the first 10 days of it is not part of the Sunnah.

Fasting the 9th and 10th is a great Sunnah as it forgives the sins of a whole year. This is the day that Allah drowned Pharos and saves Mosa peace be upon him.

People fast first tenth days of muharram. is it sunnah?what is the priority of this month?why do we fast in it?

In our country Bangladesh the Ramadan starts after one day of saudi arab and my friends are saying that Ramadan should start with same time in the whole ummah like since the people of arab saw the moon first as a one ummah we should start withthey say anywhere in the world if the moon is seen we should start fasting…….now im confused what should i do ??? should i start with our local people or with them???

Sheikh, are we allowed to fast on 10th of Muhharam? I’ve heard that we can fast but it should be 9th Muharram and 10th Muharram.
