QUESTION: If we broke a promise to allah, can we combine the niyah of those 3 fasts woth the nawafil fasts like monday and Thursday fasts

ANSWER: Yes, this is permissible.

QUESTION: I’ve been having periods for 12 years, and since then i havent made up those skipped fasts/rozas . However, I have PCOS and I don’t know how many fasts I’ve missed over the years. Is there any solution for this, as I’m not aware of the exact number of fasts I need to make up? Can i give meals to poor people or money (fidya) as i may have skipped over 12 or 14 rozas per year.

ANSWER: There is no expiation for this except to make up all those fasts. You must estimate an approximate number and add a couple more to it to be on the safe side and make them all up besides repenting sincerely to Allah for delaying them for this long!

QUESTION: I’m flying from Pakistan to Abu Dhabi in Ramadan in the daytime. Going there and coming back within a week. As there is 2hrs time difference between the countries, can I fast while flying either side. Or it’s not permissible and/or recommended.

QUESTION: Please can you clarify, some scholars say its not permissible to fast only on a Saturday one must fast a day before or after and this year Arafah happens to falls on a Saturday so they said one must fast on Friday too, How true is this?
