If saudi declares ramadan tomorrow and pakistan day after tomorrow still my parents can keep fast with saudi arab as they will be coming on vacation irrespective of when Pakistan declares ramadan. Sorry want to be clear.

ANSWER: They will fast according to the place they’re in at that time when Ramadan begins! This means that if they are in Pakistan, they must fast according to Pakistan.

Sheikh, I wanted to ask is it permissible to brush ur teeth with toothpaste when u are fasting even if you do not swallow it.

ANSWER: Praying night prayers is the best thing, however you can switch between night prayers, Qur’an, dhikr and dua.

I’ve made an oath to Allah that I’ll not commit a specific sin.However I couldn’t control myself.I know the kufara for breaking an oath but since I’m a teenager,I can only fast for 3 days but not feed or cloth 10 people.But problem is, my parents don’t allow me to fast during anytime except Ramadan.Is it okay if I fast during Ramadan rather than normal days?Will Allah consider this as the kufara?

ANSWER: No, you cannot fast any other fasts in Ramadan. Don’t tell them you’re fasting and keep those 3 fasts of breaking the oath.

In our place adhan of fazr is intentionally delayed…the difference between the time given in internet for fazr and the adhan is 15 minutes…Can I eat untill 10 minutes after the given time in internet because I myselft didn’t see the breaking of the dawn nor the adhan is given so we are not sure is the time in internet correct but most likely it is correct..the difference in ramadan is 1 minute

ANSWER: You must not eat or drink anything after the time of fajr has entered, it does not matter when the athan is given.

My question is that should a married woman take permission from her husband to fast (nawafil) like on Monday or Thursday? Is it mandatory? Or she can fast without telling him according to her wish?

Sheikh my friends have interviews at 8 am or 9am. The sehri time for fasting ends at 4 30 am. They cannot wake up at that time. So, they do their sehri at 12 am at night and go to sleep. Then they wake up for their interviews at 7 am. Is that okay to do? Is the fast valid?

ANSWER: Their fast is valid, however it’s a major sin to skip the Fajr. Eating suhoor is a highly recommended sunnah, in which there is baraka.

Many learned male and female quran teachers ,in our country, pray salat ul jaeez at the end of ramadhan fast(last day). They group together in house or in masjid and pray till midnight, telling that Allah is rewarding as they completed all the fasts of ramdhan. And say its bad to sleep ,when Allah is rewarding. Pls help ,should we join them ?

ANSWER: What they do is not permissible because it is an innovation and our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam did not do it. You must not join them.

There is dua for fasting in ramzan-“navaetun asumughadan lillahi ta’ala min farz e ramzan”.Is there any such dua to b recited for fasting voluntary fast in other month than ramzan.
