I know we should make up missed fast then the shawaal as per the hadith to get reward but some say as aisha r.a delayed missed fast so it is permissible to makeup missed fast after shawal fast to get reward of 1yr fasting .can u elaborate this particular Hadith regarding shawal fast& their logic?

ANSWER: Mother Aisha’s delaying her missed days of Ramadan till Shaaban means that she didn’t fast the 6 days of shawwal.

Sheik if a woman did not make up her missed fast before next Ramadan, what should she do? Should she feed 1 miskeen and fast?

ANSWER: If she didn’t make them up until the following Ramadan was due without a legitimate reason, she is sinful for that. She cannot give fidya for such missed fasts as she needs to make them up whenever it is possible for her.

I have a chronic illness (lupus). I’ve been diagnosed from 9. I’m now 17. I didn’t know the signs of reaching puberty and only thought I reached it from 13, so I didn’t pay fidya before that. With my illness, there is no cure, I take daily medication, sometimes less or more, but I cannot stop the medication. I can become in remission, when I feel healthy I fast, and sick I don’t. Can I pay fidya?

ANSWER: If there are days you can fast, you must make up the missed fasts without paying any fidya. Feeding is only for those who are chronically ill and can’t make these days up.

shaykh i think there is a hadith which the prophet told us that there is no prayer at the time of food (paraphrased) but it is also fard to go to the masjid, so during ramadan what is the ruling on missing maghreb in congregation to eat food? note: they used to do iftar in the masjid but cuz of covid they didnt do it this year also my house is not very close to the masjid.

ANSWER: Break your fast with a date and eat your full meal after praying in the masjid.

I heard that swallowing your spit does not break your fast but what if one has an issue where a BIG spit that fills your mouth comes at once ,can you swallow this too or must you spit it out?

ANSWER: No problem, this does not invalidate your fast, though this is unhygienic.

Shaikh i un-intentionally drank more than a half glass of water 2 hours after fajr while i was fasting (Ramadan), i would have drank whole glass if my mother wouldnnt have stopped me . Please help me if how to deal with it . I continued my fast after that . Should i repeat this fast after ramada, give fidya ? Please guide me sheikh

ANSWER: Your fast is valid as you drank it unintentionally and it was a gift from Allah for you.

Sheikh the sins in ramadan when fasting is it more than when we are not fasting such as after dawn? Because people think here that only when fasting one should refrain cuz it has more sinful stuff. So is the sin the same as throughout ramadan during one is fasting and even after fasting is done such as after iftaar. Thanks.

ANSWER: If he doesn’t have a legitimate reason not to fast, you are sinful for serving him!

My father is sick and will likely not be able to make up fasts. How to give food instead, does it have to be 1and half kilograms, do we give a one-time meal or groceries?

ANSWER: If it’s a normal illness that he would recover from eventually then it’s not permissible to pay fidya. He must make up those days when he is cured. But if it’s a chronic illness then he should give the fidya.
