ANSWER:

When joining late in a silent rakah, you should recite it.

In loud rakah where the imam is reciting the quran, you must not.

QUESTION: Should we recite Sana behind the imam in both loud (Jahri) and silent (Sirri) prayers? If joining late in either type of prayer, when should we recite it: immediately after joining or when standing to complete the missed rak’ah(s)?
