It is not permissible for a Muslim to skip a prayer intentionally as this is one of the major sins in Islam.
If one persists on skipping prayers, this might take him out of the fold of Islam.
However, if a person repents and commits to his prayers on time and avoids sins to the best of his ability, this won’t impact his previous good deeds in sha Allah.
