ANSWER:

There is no prescribed sunnah in this!

One can use either hands. 

Those who see it as removing filth would use the left. 

Those who would see it cleaning and a means of sunnah would use the right.

QUESTION: A student of knowledge was giving a lecture and he told that we use left hand to clean dirty things, that is why we should use our left hand to hold the toothbrush when we brush in the morning. I want to ask if this is true and if it is wrong if we use our right hands for brushing.
