QUESTION: If i as a traveller joins a imam at the start or in the middle of a prayer and i want to pray zuhur and asr, should i pray 4 rakahs of zuhur with the imam or can i give salam after 2 rakahs then stand up to pray asr?

ANSWER:

If the Imam is a resident imam and is praying full then you must follow him & pray in full and after you conclude the dhuhr, you can combine Asr (2 rakahs) to it.
