ANSWER: If you’re not giving sacrifice, it is not obligatory upon you to refrain from cutting the nails and hair for 10 days of Dhul hijjah.  You should not refrain from this as this would be an innovation since you’re seeking reward from something that wasn’t prescribed by the Qur’an or the Sunnah.

ANSWER: Each head of the family should slaughter an udhiya if he can afford it. His udhiya suffices for himself and all those living under his roof. He can also share a portion of a cow or a camel where 6 more people can take part in it. If they are more than 7 people, then it is not permissible.
