QUESTION: Fasting the day of arafah expiates sins next year and previous year. If I fast on the day of Arafah, my minor sins next year will be expiated; does that mean that its okay for me to commit minor sins next year?

ANSWER: Of course not!! If you do, you will be punished for them as you don’t know whether Allah had accepted your fasting or not.

ANSWER: The question is not clear. It’s too generic. Ask a specific question with examples. It’s not permissible to expose your sins nor to talk about other’s sins except in one situation and this is when you are genuinely seeking advice from someone in how to move on or solve such problems.

ANSWER: It’s not permissible at all to tell him or anyone about your previous sins! If you tell him, Allah will not forgive you such sins and most likely he will divorce you on the spot.

ANSWER: These are two separate matters. Not praying is a major sin and can mount to kufr if it is all the time. However, we would encourage such people as well disbelievers to do as many good deeds as possible as one doesn’t know when Allah will expand their chest and hearts to the truth.
