QUESTION: Is it haram for us to wish a good worldly life?? I want a good life here and there.i work for both. But as we see everyday there are our ummah suffering from every part of the world everyday. So in that case is it okay for us to live like how we want.this thought has always distracted me from being happy.Its depressing.can i live like how i want by obeying Allah and by doing what we can for needy.

ANSWER: No problem in this as long as the means that you take to achieve this are halal. In fact Islam encourages good life and there are many duas in Qur’an and hadiths which talk about good life in this dunya.

QUESTION: نَوْمُ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ خُرْقٌ، وَأَوْسَطُهُ خُلْقٌ، وَآخِرُهُ حُمْقٌ , in this hadith does sleep in the beginning of day mean after fajr or after magrib, my friend asked me this question assuming that Islamic day starts after magrib (and we both are layman) and we read this hadith in english on sunnah.com(adab al mufrad 1242),please help

QUESTION: I took my mom for an x-ray. There, that guy held my hand, kept it on my mom’s hand and asked me to hold her firmly. ANSWER: Balance your time properly so that you can focus both on worship as well as your studies. Ignore what they say and be diplomatic and do not argue with them and just smile and nod your head and do what you usually do.
