My sister lives In India, and she wants to take Khula.The Qaadi there helped her in making the papers, and for the reson she has mentioned “Unavoidable circumstances”.Now, the husband says that the reason has to be mentioned in the papers orelse the papers get invalid. What should be done? Is it necessary to mention the reason?

If the judge is ok with that, no need for mentioning the reason if she doesn’t want to.

A woman is married and she and her husband are not living together for more than 10 years. The man already married 2 more women. And the first wife want divorce from him with her guardian. But he is not willing to meet her. Can she marry another man ?

She must file for khula with the Muslim judge or authorized Imam of the Islamic center.

You can only get back what your son gave her as mahar and the jewelry alongside the mahar.

Refer to your answer: In the case of khula the iddah is 1 menstrual cycle. In case you are going to remarry, the custody of your daughters will be with their father. Question is: If the father is incapable of taking care of da maintenance of these 2 step daughters,what are the options for this woman? Should she take dem wid her or she shud leave them at her parents’ house?

The children are the responsibility of their father, the step father is not enjoined with their care. If he is doing this voluntary, this is charity for him! If he doesn’t want them, she should send them to her parents if they are willing to accept them!

Can the girl after getting the khula and during the iddah period, go out and work or does she need her husband’s permission?

No, she doesn’t need it.

Is it true that when a woman goes to court for khula, the judge can order her husband to divorce her. If he refuses then the court can grant her divorce but this is called “FASKH e NIKAH”? So although divorce takes place, it cannot be called khula since husband did not divorce her.

This is true but only if the grounds of such a separation is strongly found.

My wives cousin wanted to get a khula &she contacted a shaykh called Abdullah Faisal from jamaica to do it and she paid him £50 to get it done. I don’t know whether you’re supposed to get the husbands consent for the khula, however he just told her that she has a good case to get her marriage nullified& he sent her an online certificate of divorce. Is her divorce valid?

I wanted to ask..if husband and wife are in a jolly mood.n if wife simply asks husband that if ever I needed a khula will u give me.der is no intention of taking khula.n the husband also jokingly says yes he would give.does dat mean dat da khula has been done.or da separation took place.will they become Haram for each other.even if it was just a joke

Both should be reprimanded for such a sick joke! However, the divorce doesn’t take place unless he intended the Khula’a!

When a woman gets married and finds out that same night that the brother is impotent but in the process of intimacy he manage to penetrate for a few seconds, how long is her iddah period? (*The wife was not informed about his condition before hand) Awaiting your response.

She may ask for separation and if the judge agrees to it and she can prove his impotency medically, her Iddah would be one monthly cycle.

Is there a chance of reconciliation of a couple after wife has taken khula 4 yrs ago?
