My mom did her Hajj in days when we were settled in Jeddah . She went without mahram.My Dad was with us kids in Jeddah. she was told from Jeddah to makkah is not a travel so can do so. But nowadays everyone tells her what she did was wrong and that for hajj mahram is compulsory. Kindly shed the correct view.

ANSWER: What they say is correct. For Hajj the male mahram accompanying women is required even if it’s not a traveling distance. She’s sinful for not making hajj with her male mahram but the hajj is valid.

I wished to go for hajj this time. But due to COVID_19 I couldn’t go. I am a military officer and I stay in a government quarter .I don’t have my own house to live with my wife and child ( my father has). Now can I spend the money to build a house which I catered for Hajj? If I spend that I think next year it may not be possible for me to go for haj.

ANSWER: You need to spend money for accommodation for your family. This is a priority and hajj can be performed later.

Can scented soaps and shampoo be used in Ihram state?

Sheikh, My grandmother is coming from India on visit visa on which the SA govt specifically says the person can’t perform Hajj & umrah on this visa. So if my grandmother performs umrah is it permissible according to Islam ?

Shaikh I want to know if area of safa marwa is a part of the mosque. Do we need to be in wudu during saee?

ANSWER: It is not part of the masjid and one can stay there even if she has her menses. The most authentic opinion is that you do not need wudhu for tawaf and saee.

If Husband and wife go to makkah together.. is it permissible for wife to go alone and do tawaf or does the husband need to be by her side while she is performing tawaf

ANSWER: No problem in the wife doing umrah alone as well while the husband is at the hotel.

Sheikh our fmly friend(wife kidsalso) coming to dubai to visit us(from pakistan)for 4 days then leave from umra does they wear ihram from dubai?take gusl pray 2 rakats and make neyat for umra.is that correct way of making neyat and wearing ihram from dubai? If not Kindly describe where should they wear ihram & proper way of making neyat

ANSWER: They should wear their Ihram from dubai if they wish for convenience but make the intention of umrah and talibiya before the cross the meeqat while on the plane to Jeddah, about 40 minutes before landing. They will announce it.

Is it permissible to use scented soaps/shower gels for ghusl for Ihram ???

ANSWER: You can use normal soaps in the state of ihram.

My mother’s brother has performed Hajj this year and now he messaged me to invite him to my house for a small party (Lunch), because he has performed hajj . Even my aunt is insisting me and my mother to invite him for lunch and offer him a floral garland to be worn. Please advise is this permissible? Because many people are following this tradition.

ANSWER: This is not part of Islam at all. You can invite people to your home for lunch or dinner but doing this thinking that this is something required after Hajj or thinking it to be from the Sunnah is totally wrong.

Can we touch kaaba and make dua or is it innovation…people touch,kiss and cry falling on it..pl clarify
